The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City requires every employee and most volunteers to go through
the Safe Environment process. Here is the information for the new Safe Environment protocol.
The background check and training are all done online.
Please read all the instructions before attempting to start the process.

● The first thing you do when you get in, is to click on "create an account". That will take you to the background check page. Once you get started, make sure you have time to finish this part,
otherwise it will time you out and your account will give you problems and tech support will
have to reset your account. This will take about 10-15 minutes at the most. Please use your full
legal name, i.e. the name on your driver’s license.
● When it asks for your primary location, make sure you choose" Parish: OKC- St. Charles
Borromeo" which is found towards the bottom part of the list. The schools seem to appear
before the parishes for some reason, and you need to choose the parish. If you are volunteering
at another location, you can choose this location as a secondary location
The training will be lengthier than the background check part (3-4 hours long), but the good news is you don't have to complete it all at once. You can work on it as your time allows. Of course, the sooner you finish, the sooner you will be compliant. After this step it may ask you to submit three references. If your three references from when you did it under the old process all answered, then you may not have to do this. After all this is done, I will get a notification when your process is complete, and I will then let you know you are compliant.
Thank you in advance for doing your part to get this completed!
